Kunal is the Founder & CEO of Polar, a creative advertising software business that partners with trusted publishers around the world. In 2021, Polar launched Nova, a new brand focused on bringing Polar’s proven advertising solutions to brands and agencies.
Kunal advises several mental health organizations, teaches meditation and yoga, and writes regularly about leadership, culture and mindfulness on his blog.

Polar permanently closed its physical office spaces in New York, Toronto, London and Sydney, and has embraced a fully distributed culture on a long-term basis.


Flowday & Flowtime
Tuesdays and Fridays at Polar have been renamed to Flowday, with no internal meetings to encourage distraction-free days.
Additionally, Polar has a meeting-light, Slack-light and no internal email culture to encourage Flowtime daily.

Everyone at Polar participates in an annual profit share plan, which is budgeted in advance. This additional recognition is designed to reward effectiveness and efficiency in our business.

Our minimum time away (vacation) policy is four weeks per year. And time away means time away from the screen.

Over the past decade, Polar has hired over 300 co-op students from the University of Waterloo and many have gone on to start companies. We pride ourselves on creating an amazing environment for students.
